MENZIES TURNS 40
Menzies School of Health Research is proudly celebrating 40 years of research and impact
Menzies School of Health Research is proudly celebrating 40 years of research and impact.
For four decades, Menzies has been at the forefront of health research in the Northern Territory, expanding from Darwin to Alice Springs and Dili, Timor-Leste.
Founded in 1984 with a vision to address health challenges unique to the region, Menzies has grown into Australia’s leading medical research institute dedicated to improving health outcomes for First Nations Australians and communities across the Asia-Pacific.
Our Mission & Impact
At Menzies, we tackle critical health challenges through leading research, while strengthening capacity through education and training. We empower health professionals, policymakers, and communities to drive life-changing solutions.
While our roots are in the Northern Territory, our work reaches far beyond.
We lead global efforts to combat life-threatening illnesses and train the experts of tomorrow - today.
We believe everyone should have access to high-quality healthcare - especially those who need it most. By combining scientific knowledge with shared wisdom, we help close the gap and create healthier communities for all.
Join the Celebration
As we mark this milestone, we invite you to be part of the celebration. Check out our calendar of events and join us for our Research Impact Series, Darwin Gala Dinner, and more, as we honour 40 years of making a difference.
