Biography:
Cherie Whitbread is a nurse practitioner and diabetes educator who has been working in the Northern Territory for 24 years.
She is a diabetes educator at Royal Darwin Hospital and the coordinator of Northern Territory and Far North Queensland Diabetes in Pregnancy Partnership with Menzies School of Health Research.
Cherie has been part of many working groups in the NT and nationally to improve the management and resources for people with diabetes. Since 2011, her key focus has been improving the health of women with diabetes in pregnancy through development of the NT Diabetes in Pregnancy clinical register and support for health professionals who provide clinical care for the women.
