Pneumococcus and otitis media

This wall chart explains how the pneumococcus germ lives in the back of the nose and travels through the eustachian tube to the middle ear space behind the ear drum causing otitis media or middle ear infection.

It also depicts the ear drum bulging like a boil because of the build up of pus and then the ear drum perforating causing pussy or runny ears.
